This week’s cool creation is from our forum member astronautravi. More pictures available at Flickr.

“This is the meloN. The coolest hangout on Lego Island. Located on Main Street, this hangout serves up fresh watermelon slices and anything else watermelon flavored. Sit at the Watermelon Patio, by the tropical palm trees and enjoy your concoction. From frozen yogurt to ice cream, the meloN is the perfect place to grab a bite!”

This week’s cool creation is from our forum member vynsane. You can read the background story in our forums. More pictures available at Flickr

“I saw a dearth of multi-passenger flying cars out there, and wanted to make a four-seater. This was the outcome. I designed it in LEGO Digital Designer (using ‘Universe Mode’) and then found a java program that allows you to extract a parts list, which can then be saved in BrickLink wishlist compatible XML format!

It features opening doors and luggage compartment – the opening compartment is the luggage area, not engine compartment – it’s a rear-engine flying car.”

This week’s cool creation is once again from our forum member astronautravi. It was a creation originally meant for our LEGO Robot Collectable Minifigure Contest.

“At Lego City’s Extraterrestrial processing facility (EPF). Robots process new arrivals from other planets. From the control stations, the robots man the conveyor belt and the extraplanetary disinfect machine (on right). The robots keep Lego City safe from extraterrestrial creatures.”

[MOC] Cavemen Cove

This week’s cool creation is from our forum member astronautravi.

“My cavemen occupy a place called Cavemen Cove where they live happily. Even the monkey, the caveman’s evolutionary ancestor, lives in peace with them. In Cavemen Cove, the Cavemen created fire and the wheel. And in doing so, they set the groundwork for other LEGO Minifigs.”

[MOC] Containment

This week’s cool creation is from our forum member Nannan.

“This diorama measures over 6 feet by over 5 feet, and we have been working on it for the past two months. Tyler built the alien wasteland, and I made the biosphere processing facility.

My favorite aspects of this build are the details that bring life to this creation including lights, motion, and even music that comes from built-in iPod speakers.”
