Toys R Us Canada online is currently having a three day promotion from July 15-17 where you can save 15% off on regular price for items ending in 9. Great time to pick up some sets such as the LEGO Mini Cooper (reg.$119.99) for 15% off.

What make the 15% off deal better is that select LEGO have been discounted by 30% off already with prices ending in 7. However, the 15% off still stack on top of the discounted 30% off which makes total savings at 41% off. Add the item and proceed to checkout and you will see the discounted price. They have Arkham Asylum and select Batman Movie sets, City, Ninjago, Creator and Nexo Knight sets discounted.

    LEGO Movie 2 Sets: 70827, 70829, 70830

Three new and upcoming LEGO Movie 2 sets have been revealed from LEGO!  The sets look pretty good and cool. That Ultrakatty from LEGO 70827 definitely looks fierce while LEGO 70830 Sweet Mayhem’s Systar Starship looks like a unique kit to have.

The latest Newsweek LEGO magazine will officially be released on July 17 at onnewsstandsnow.com. This magazine was created in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the LEGO Brick and the 40th anniversary of the Minifigure.

“We worked very closely with The LEGO Group to create this, and received exclusive interviews with LEGO designers and workers in the Billund factory, plus exclusive behind-the-scenes photos of the LEGO creation process and of the sets themselves – from classic sets like #928, Galaxy Explorer, to the latest branded ones such as Jurassic World.”

    Mini Review of the Magazine

The magazine contains 100 pages and it starts off with various LEGO creations before the table of contents is introduced. It goes through the history of LEGO and how a LEGO Brick is manufactured (the very foundation of LEGO).

Moving on, it talks about the minifigure, another important element in LEGO. Various LEGO set models and older sets are looked into including LEGO Ideas. There’s also a look into popular lines such as LEGO Architecture, LEGO Movie and LEGO Star Wars. Many of the sets that are looked into provides a brief description of the set.

There’s more to the magazine then mentioned above. Overall, its a nice LEGO magazine to browse over when you have time. Thanks to Courtney for sending Toys N Bricks a complimentary digital copy for review.
